Three men have threatened another man with a knife and robbed him in a supermarket carpark in Shoeburyness.
It happened at the Asda off Shoebury Road at around 10.30pm on Saturday, September 15.
They went up to him and at first one of the men asked him for a cigarette. As he went to get a cigarette out, one of the other men pushed him against a car while the third man held a knife against his throat and demanded money.
The victim handed over around £50 and the men ran off.
Investigating Officer, Dc Luke Dangerfield, said: "Although this took place late at night, we're still hopeful of attracting witnesses to the robbery.
"However, we firmly believe that someone will be able to recognise the suspects from their quite distinctive clothing.
"The fashion on display would have stood out in that area and those who live with either of three men will certainly recognise the hoodies and tracksuits."
One man was wearing a dark-red Hollister hoodie, Nike jogging bottoms and is aged in his mid-late 20s.
The second man was wearing a black Adidas hooded tracksuit with black Nike trainers and is aged in his late teens.
The third man was wearing a bright-red Adidas hoodie, baby-blue Puma tracksuit bottoms and white Nike Air Force One trainers and is of stocky build and aged in his mid-20s.
